Shriya Saran is an Indian film actress. She began her career acting in Telugu language films in the Telugu cinema industry, while also attending an acting studio, to follow her dream to act.
Shriya started her movie acting career with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001), produced by Usha Kiran Movies. This first film didn’t fare too well at the box office, but she was noticed by many Telugu producers and directors.
She is now acting opposite Vijay in Azhagiya Tamil Magan, Vikram in Kandasaamy. She will be Bobby Deol’s heroine in director Sangeet Sivan’s new Hindi film produced by K.Sera. She is also the heroine in Mohit Suri’s Awaarapan cast opposite Emraan Hashmi. Shriya has also signed up for two new projects in telugu for 2008. One is a prabhas/puri jagganadh combo which will start in October of 2007. Rumors also tell us she has also been chosen for Mirchi which also stars Mahesh Babu.
