Celina Jaitley was born on 9th June 1981 in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her father was in the Indian Army while her mother was a child psychologist and a beauty queen herself. Her brother followed their father’s lead and joined the Indian Army.

In Kolkata, Celina participated in a local beauty contest just for the heck of participation and to everybody's surprise she emerged victorious. She made a brief appearance in the comedy Heyy Babyy (2007). In 2008, Celina Jaitley was in the hit sequel Golmaal Returns and Money Ho Tho Honey Hai.
