Jennifer Hudson, Ryan Seacrest and Kimberley Locke are among a group of celebrities who have killed off their digital lives in hopes of raising $1 million to help people affected by AIDS in Africa and India.
Other celebrities participating in the World Aids Day initiative include Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Justin Timberlake, P. Diddy, Usher and Alicia Keys. Each has vowed not to post to their Twitter or Facebook accounts until the goal is reached.
"So come on, ya'll, buy my life back," Jennifer says in a "last tweet and testament" posted to YouTube Wednesday. Go on a shopping spree and buy as much of it as you can."
In his video, Ryan says, "I don't plan to be dead for too long, because I know you care about this as much as I do."
Funds raised will go to Keep a Child Alive (KCA), which was co-founded by Keys and Leigh Blake. As of Thursday morning, the effort had raised more than $160,000. You can donate online at buylife.org.
